Below is a selection of my work as a commercial director and editor. I work primarily as a documentary filmmaker and producer for various clients across many industries. I also work on independent documentary projects and anything that captures my imagination. All of the work below would not be possible without the talented people I’ve collaborated with such as cinematographers, creative directors and marketing folks. I’m also incredibly grateful for the brave and inspiring people who’ve opened up to me while on camera. It’s not an easy thing to do and I hope I’ve made it a bit easier for them to feel comfortable in that vulnerable place. Thanks so much for checking out my work, it means a lot to me.

Conquering The Cycle (Trailer)

This is a trailer for my first feature documentary chronicling a group of inner city kids cycling across America. The film won best documentary at the Rainier Film Festival. I’m also currently in post production on a second documentary about the group titled We Ride.

 
 
 

Warhol Museum

This is a selection of videos that I directed and edited for the Warhol Museum. Working with The Warhol has been one of the highlights of my career. It’s given me the chance to work with incredibly talented artists and musicians and truly has felt almost like I’m collaborating with Warhol, my fellow Pittsburgher.

 
 
 

Magee-Womens Research Institute

These are a series of videos that I directed and edited for the largest women’s research organization in the world. It was fascinating interviewing all of these amazing researchers who are on the forefront of scientific discovery.

 
 
 

UPMC

Here is a selection of videos that I directed and edited for UPMC. Two major highlights stand out from this work, directing a mock surgery scene with Dr. Emery and interviewing the late great Dr. Freddie Fu about his surgery on soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

 
 

SFCSS

I’m incredibly proud of this work I directed for the SFCSS Foundation; a scholarship set up in remembrance of Sargent First Class Scott Smith who was killed while serving in Iraq. The Motorcycle Mural video won a Gold Addy Award. Many thanks to my friend Shawn Smith for giving me the opportunity to direct this powerful series of videos to honor his late brother.

C.C. Li and the Pursuit of Truth

It was a unique experience to be handed a few boxes of Geneticist C.C. Li’s legacy. Li left China and came to the University of Pittsburgh to teach what he believed to be the truth about population genetics. This was a fun opportunity to weave interviews, archival footage and documents into a portrait of a powerful and revolutionary scientist. This video plays annually at the C.C. Li lecture at the Pitt Graduate School of Public Health.

 
 

Higher Education

I’ve worked with many different Colleges and Universities. For the Art Institute i traveled to 20 campuses around the nation to tell stories from students, faculty and alumni. I’ve also worked for Grove City College, Pitt ,CMU and PTC.
